Click 'N Learn is a software product for WIC Nutrition Education developed by Teletask, Inc. of Fair Oaks, California. Teletask has been serving WIC since the early 1990's with inbound telephone call processing systems, autodialers and appointment schedulers.
In 2002 Teletask decided to add another product for WIC in the area of computerized nutrition education. Nica Miano, a bi-lingual WIC nutritionist in Maryland was hired to work with Teteask technical staff to develop several learning modules relating to important WIC nutrition topics in English and Spanish. Teletask also contracted with Dagnia Duran, M.A. from the Monterey Institute of International Studies to translate English text to Spanish and record the Spanish module sound elements.
Since that time we have added and modified these learning modules working with WIC nutritionists in several states. Most recently we have worked with Beverly Demetrius, Ed.D., R.D., L.D., Nutrition Services Director of the Cobb/Douglas County Boards of Health, in order to upgrade the Click 'N Learn product to be in conformity with the USDA/FSN document "Criteria For The Development And Evaluation Of Electronic-based Nutrition Education For WIC Participants".
We also added "Forum" which provides WIC agencies with tools to create their own on-line content without the need for outside programmers. This allows for a more "open ended" method of on-line nutrition education development over time as we all learn more about this important topic.
